Terms and Conditions
Last updated: [DATE]
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing from sheetpeeps.com. By completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About us
Sheet Peeps is operated by Lloyd [Surname], based in New Zealand (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Website: sheetpeeps.com
Email: [email protected]
2. What these Terms cover
These Terms and Conditions govern:
- your use of sheetpeeps.com
- the purchase of digital products from sheetpeeps.com
- the licence granted to you to use those products
They should be read alongside our:
- Privacy Policy – which explains how we handle your personal data
- Delivery Policy – which explains how digital products are delivered and our refund position
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and either of those policies, these Terms take precedence.
3. Our products
We sell digital spreadsheet templates (“Products”) in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format. All Products are digital files – there are no physical goods, no packaging, and no shipping.
Each Product listing on our website describes the formats included, what the template does, and any compatibility requirements. It is your responsibility to check the listing carefully before purchasing to ensure the Product meets your needs and is compatible with your software.
4. Purchasing
4.1 How to purchase
Products are purchased through our website at sheetpeeps.com. When you click to buy, you are directed to a checkout hosted by Lemon Squeezy (LemonSqueezy.com, Inc.), which processes your payment. A contract between you and us is formed at the point your payment is confirmed by Lemon Squeezy.
4.2 Pricing
All prices are displayed on the product listing pages. Prices are in the currency shown at checkout. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but any change will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
4.3 Order confirmation
After your payment is confirmed, Lemon Squeezy will send you an automated order confirmation email containing your download link(s). If you do not receive this email within a few minutes of purchase, please check your spam folder. If you still cannot find it, contact us at [email protected].
5. Delivery of digital products
Delivery of Products is described in full in our Delivery Policy. In summary:
- Products are delivered digitally via a download link in your order confirmation email, immediately upon payment confirmation.
- Download links are time-limited. Contact us if your link expires.
- Google Sheets templates require you to make a copy to your own Google Drive (File → Make a copy).
6. Licence
6.1 What you get
When you purchase a Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and use the template file(s) for your own personal financial management purposes.
6.2 What you may not do
You may not, without our prior written consent:
- resell, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the template files to any third party
- share download links or copies of the files publicly or privately with others who have not purchased them
- use the templates as the basis for a product or service that you sell or distribute to others
- publish or upload the files to any platform where others can access them (whether for free or for payment)
- remove, alter, or obscure any Sheet Peeps branding, credits, or attribution within the files
6.3 Business use
If you wish to use a Product in a business context beyond personal use – for example, to provide to clients or to incorporate into a service offering – please contact us at [email protected] to discuss an appropriate license arrangement.
6.4 One purchase, one user
Each purchase is licensed to one individual. If you wish to provide access to multiple people within a household or organisation, please contact us.
7. Intellectual property
All Products, and all content on sheetpeeps.com (including text, images, design, and structure), are owned by or licensed to Sheet Peeps and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Your purchase grants you only the licence described in section 6.
8. Refunds and your consumer rights
8.1 General position
Because our Products are digital files that are immediately accessible upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds based on change of mind once a download has been initiated. Our full refund position is set out in our Delivery Policy.
8.2 Statutory rights – New Zealand customers
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, Products must be fit for their described purpose and of acceptable quality. If a Product fails to meet these guarantees, you are entitled to a remedy. We cannot and do not attempt to contract out of these rights for consumer purchases.
8.3 Statutory rights – EU and UK customers
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the EU Digital Content Directive (Directive 2019/770) or equivalent UK legislation. If a digital product is defective or not as described, EU and UK consumers retain the right to seek a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of any no-refund position stated in our Delivery Policy.
8.4 Right of withdrawal – EU and UK customers
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and UK equivalents, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from online contracts. However, this right does not apply to digital content not supplied on a tangible medium once download or access has begun, provided prior express consent was given. See our Delivery Policy for full details of how this applies to your purchase.
8.5 Making a claim
To raise an issue with a Product, contact [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase date, including your order number and a description of the problem.
9. Disclaimer – no financial advice
Our Products are spreadsheet templates designed to assist with personal financial organisation and budgeting. They are provided for informational and organisational purposes only.
Nothing in our Products or on our website constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any other form of regulated financial guidance. We are not a financial adviser or financial services provider.
You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make. We strongly recommend you seek independent professional advice for your specific financial circumstances.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 General
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sheet Peeps will not be liable for any:
- indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage
- loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, or business opportunity
- financial loss resulting from reliance on our Products
arising out of or in connection with your use of our Products or website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
10.2 Cap on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in connection with any claim arising from your purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the Product giving rise to the claim.
10.3 Consumer rights preserved
Nothing in section 10 limits or excludes liability in ways that would be unlawful under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or equivalent consumer protection legislation applicable to you. For New Zealand consumer purchases, the Consumer Guarantees Act provides remedies that we are not permitted to exclude or limit.
11. Availability and accuracy
We take care to ensure our Products and website content are accurate and up to date. However, we do not warrant that:
- the website will be available at all times or free from errors
- the content on the website is complete, accurate, or current at any given time
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any Product or any part of the website at any time without notice.
12. Third-party services
Our website and checkout process involve third-party services, including Lemon Squeezy (payment processing and file delivery) and Google Analytics. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only – we do not endorse and are not responsible for the content of those sites.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our website or purchase of Products after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For purchases already made, the Terms in effect at the time of your purchase apply.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
We will always try to resolve any issue or dispute informally in the first instance. If you have a concern, please contact us at [email protected] and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally:
- New Zealand customers may refer disputes to the Disputes Tribunal or seek remedies under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.
- EU customers may have access to online dispute resolution through the EU ODR platform.
- UK customers may refer disputes to appropriate UK consumer bodies or courts.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any statutory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
